Sterling Morton High School District 201Dr. Meghan Meyer is an experienced school psychologist & school district administrator as well as a former board member for Youth Crossroads & former member of the Cicero Community Collaborative Health and Safety Committee.Through her work supporting students in her career as a school psychologist, she has become a passionate advocate and educator on trauma & mental health as she recognizes how trauma significantly impacts youth and communities. Meghan has collaborated and worked closely with partners in the community to support mental health for students, staff, families and law enforcement. She received her doctorate in school psychology with a specialization in mental health from Loyola University and focused her dissertation research on building a trauma-informed school community. She worked within her former and current school districts and their communities to build awareness on trauma and integrate wellness & trauma informed support in schools in hopes to build resilience for students, teachers and families. In her current role, she supports & coordinates trauma informed interventions, mental health awareness and behavior and crisis intervention for 20 schools in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. In her free time, Meghan loves spending time with her young children and her family. Reading, walking and traveling help keep her life in balance.
