School-Based Counseling Services (SBC) provide high school and middle school students with individual counseling and group support programs during the school day to help deal with anger, trauma, and other issues that cause academic under-performance and social/emotional instability.
Students are referred to SBC services by school personnel, parents and other community organizations. Staff provides school-based counseling through the school year at Morton East High School, Morton West High School, the Freshman Center, the Freshman Academy, Heritage Middle School, Freedom Middle School and Lincoln Middle School.
Counseling services continue throughout the summer at our building and our BRIDGE program.
