Gianna is a freshmen in high school. She is referred to the YLP program after she graduated 8th grade by her middle school counselor. In her old school Gianna was expelled for fighting and possession of marijuana. She needs community service hours for her probation and knows she must take it seriously.
Gianna comes to the youth leadership program and has a hard time adjusting to the other students in program, even has an altercation with a group of girls.
After a year in the program, she is public speaking at YLP press events, serving as a High School mentor, and has over 1,000 community service hours in the program. Her school life is thriving she’s receiving all A’s and B’s and has not gotten into one fight since starting high school.
