Andrew is in middle school and is referred for counseling services because he is struggling in school and with peers. Andrew lives with a great aunt because his father is in jail for murder. In talking with the guardian, we discover that Andrew’s negative behaviors appear to be increasing as the possibility of his father’s release from prison is coming up.
Andrew is participating in a SPARCS group focused on helping him to deal with chronic distress and individual counseling.
