Ariana is a mom of three who has lived in Cicero for 25 years. Ariana is a stay-at-home mom, and the only source of income comes from her husband who works in the restaurant industry.
During the pandemic, Ariana’s family was faced with three months of hardship when her husband was laid off work. Ariana and her family have come to rely on Youth Crossroads when they needed it the most. Youth Crossroads food distribution events have helped Ariana put food on her table on many occasions.
Youth Crossroads partner, Inner City Impact, was also able to deliver food to Ariana’s doorstep when the whole family tested positive for COVID 19. YC is also the fiscal agent for Cicero Community Collaborative, which provided cash assistance to Ariana’s family when they were not able to pay their bills because of the loss of income.
